Dragon in 3D

I saw “How to train a dragon” in 3D and it got me awed again with the 3-dimensional experience. I feel more in grief as to why I didn’t see Avatar in the same manner. Moreover, I should have watched it in IMAX and in 3D – could have been super awesome!

Dragon's name is "Toothless" (from official dragon website)

After seeing “How to train a Dragon”, I concluded that actors would not be acting anymore in the near future. I can’t imagine how real actors were able to portray the characters depicted here; it just can’t get any better than  that.

The movie “How to Train a Dragon” was entirely in cartoons, yet it was one of my best movie experiences ever. The dragons were so unique and the attention to details was superb. The plot was also great, imagine a kid training a dragon – my kid can’t even take care of a fish. Best science fiction story after Avatar.

Anyway, although there were real actors in “Avatar”, the movie effects and animation were super cool. The development of Avatar started in 1994, when James Cameron wrote a script for the film. But according to James the necessary technology was not yet available to achieve his vision of the film. The creation of the extraterrestial beings began in 2005 and screenplay started in early 2006. It was later release in 2009 and broke all-time box-office records.

James Cameron had a vision in 1994, he waited for 11 years for the technology to come around and made it happen – that’s genius.

So, I’ll try to be like James and I’ll concoct my own visions and maybe, after 10 years it will materialize. Ha ha.

My top 4 visions :

4. Trains will be the main transportation medium and other public transports like buses and jeeps will be obsolete. Trains will be equipped with stewards and HD TVs. People can go around the country using trains only.

3. Internet will be free. Every one will have their own unique IP address that they can use to transact and vote online as well.

2. At least 3 out 4 movies coming out will be in animation, 3D – 4D. Actors will mostly dub and will not be seen in the movie.

1. DVD’s and TVs will be ready for 3D – we can all experience it at home. Special glasses will be readily available from malls and bookstores.

Yah right!

UPDATE : My number One vision is already here, i feel so ignorant. Anyway, I honestly thought this will happen, but did not think it’s actually here already.  - http://www.gizmag.com/3d-tv-release-date/14461/

Your Vision No. 3 will happen very soon. It may not be free internet for all but a unique IP address for everyone. It’s not only the humans, even our pets could have one. The shift to IPv6 can easily have it happen.

thanks edz, i’m really hoping that would happen – not just giving an ip to every internet connection, but an ip to every user. it will be a person’s universal ID. :)
